Spa Spotlight: Luisa Triana & The Garden of Skin
Within the sphere of skincare and beauty, one passionate entrepreneur has found her calling through a journey that blends intention, spirituality, and a genuine love for healing – Luisa Triana.
Born in Colombia and raised in Tampa, Florida, Triana was initially indecisive regarding her career path coming out of high school. After dropping out of college, she embarked on a soul-searching mission, determined to find a vocation that resonated with her essence. This quest led her to a front desk position at a spa, where she discovered her affinity for the wellness world.
“As I was scrolling through Indeed, I meditated, prayed, and released kinetic energy,” says Triana. “That’s when I stumbled upon a front desk position at a local spa. 6 months later I was going to school to be an Esthetician. Everything happened so fluidly because I felt aligned to the world of wellness.”
After graduating from Hillsborough Community College, Triana worked as a Skin Care Specialist at another spa and waxing chain for two years. Then she decided to take her skills to the next level. Transitioning from an entry-level employee and student to a certified esthetician, she was able to successfully integrate her natural healing instincts into her own skincare and beauty brand, The Garden of Skin.
Taking the leap to entrepreneurship, Triana began by renting a room at a yoga studio. Through word-of-mouth and social media, she would experience an influx of clients and quickly outgrow the small space. That’s when she decided to move into a medical spa and hire her first employee.
We asked Triana to divulge the secret to her rapid success.
“I can tell my clients appreciate my detailed and thorough work. When I do facials, my hands dance on my client’s skin like a symphony. When I wax, I make an uncomfortable situation comfortable. I’m a giver, a healer, and a lover, and that is what this industry allows me to do.”

What fuels her passion? Making people feel calm and delightful. She finds joy in creating serene experiences for her clients. When asked about her inspiration for growth, she points to her future family, a testament to her commitment to building a legacy of care and excellence.
